I have lived on my own for the past two years, but as life gets more expensive, I’m interested in the idea of maybe living with someone that I could get along with. I work hybrid (2 days at the office - If you do too maybe we can do opposite days?).

Currently, I live in Toronto, but work in Mississauga. Can’t seem to bring myself to fully leave TO. So I’m open to teaming up with people looking in both places - with a preference for possibly Etobicoke (although I’ve never lived there, it could be bland? idk we would talk about neighbourhoods).

I don’t want to team up with anyone in a rush or frantic to be moving out, because I’d like to know you, and then we can slowly decide when we will move and what we like. Would need to give notice to my current landlord 2 months prior - so I’m looking to possibly move around July/Aug or even later. I also know a good real estate agent who really prioritizes finding a good place.

Budget wise, part of the goal for me IS to save money, so would want the rent split to be less than 2K.

Personality wise, except for blasting music (which is something I will have to give up and manage with a roommate), I am a quiet, and mostly introverted person (I keep being told at work that I’m extroverted, but I am not - trust me lol).

I watch a lot of youtube, read (sci-fi and fantasy), have multiple instruments (space-consumiiiiiing), care about music a lot, and complain about how unfair things are left and right (I can dial it down though). I think what defines me the most is music and some other stuff that are personal (against popular belief, you can’t just share everything on the internet :)). I am also Persian and moved here on my own so sprinkle in some of that (added personality + extreme sense of independence + bilingual).

Again, I’m not in a position where I HAVE to have a roommate. I just think it might be good for me. If you are in a somewhat similar situation, message me and we can meet up and talk more.

I’m going on a trip until mid-April and to take a REAL break, I am not going to be checking my phone. I’m hoping I can let my messages accumulate this way and get back to them when I’m back.

I think above all (and I realize it’s different for others), I need a calm roommate, cause some people lose their shit with anything and I’m not gonna have a living situation where I dread going home. I want our home to be a real home :) and I think I’m capable of this, so if you think you are too, drop a message!
