Hey everyone. My name’s Ruel. I’m looking for a room and some super awesome roommates in a community-oriented place.

I’m a 28 year old guy that just moved to Vic from Winnipeg after travelling in South America for 5 months (trying to learn Spanish). And now I’m working full-time as a design engineer in Victoria.

The most important thing I’m looking for is the right group of interesting, fun, like-minded roommates. But a walkable, bikeable, transit-friendly area is important too (in Victoria or very close by). I’m quite the minimalist so I don’t mind living in a tiny/weird space. Looking for something long term. Free to move in whenever works for you. And my budget is $650 max.

Some of my favourite things are rock climbing, board games, and travelling. I love learning new things and getting outside of my comfort zone. One weird fact about me is that I used to compete as a trick unicyclist. Other things that are cool are entrepreneurship, good books, music festivals, linguistics, economics, and more!

I’d say I’m on the extroverted side so I’d prefer roommates I can hang out with. My last living situation was with 3 other roommates and we were pretty much like a family. I’d love to create that sort of community again. I’d love to live with people who want to go explore the outdoors, check out events and festivals, play board games, or just have a good conversation.

I don’t smoke and I rarely drink, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have a good time!
