Looking for a roommate for January 1st 2023! (If you are a Type A personality who plans way in advanced—- you will probably find my profile earlier)

Forgive me for this very detailed description— I really want to find a good compatible roommate!

My roommate is going back after her program finishes in December but the lease is until August end 2023 and can be renewed again(I will be renewing my lease again)

I currently live in South st in a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath spacious apartment. I have a half bath in my room so we will be sharing the main bathroom and the kitchen. I graduated from SMU 2 years ago. Now I work full time at Dalhousie 9-5. The apartment is spacious and newly painted, very well kept, has a balcony. The rent per person would be around 870$ + electricity(15-20$ per person a month max) +wifi (40$) , laundry on every floor, unit is on the 3rd floor, building is very well kept and building managers are amazing. No mice or bug problems.

I will say that sometimes you will hear university students yelling/partying on fri/sat night around our neighborhood but its not unbearable.

This place is pretty cheap compared to other units around South end for the value you get. Both rooms are very spacious and has great closet space and has a hallway closet as well. This place has a balcony too. The view is nothing special for sure haha. Superrr sunny rooms and balcony. If you like to live like a vampire please don’t respond 😂.. Will show pictures once we chat.

I am looking for a mature mid 20s female roommate, NO PETS. I have had my fair share of incompatible roommates(usually random summer sublet) and you know how bad that is ..I prefer not to go through that again. I like to keep the common spaces VERY clean and organized (not ocd but just love an actual clean and nice smelling space) The living space other than your room is fully furnished. You could buy my roommate’s room furnitures if you like.

Also looking for someone who isn’t going to be away all of summer or something and us having to find new subletters everytime. Its just a pain to live with different people every season!!

I am extroverted but I would never overstep and I like my own space and time. I expect my roommate to be mindful of privacy and peace. I don’t want to live with a complete stranger and feel uncomfortable in our own apartment. I would love to have a friendly and cordial relationship so looking for some kind of compatibility as well.(We don’t have to be bffs)

I have a long term boyfriend who comes over maybe 3-4 times a week, he isn’t obnoxious at all, he doesn’t stay over for long or anything so its not like a third roommate situation! And I would prefer my roommate to also have the same boundary if they have a partner.

Our kitchen is not the most spacious and its just inconvenient for two people to cook at the same time. I cannot cook if another person is also in the kitchen, that is a huge pet peeve. I would prefer a roommate who isn’t using the kitchen 24/7 or is a huge baker etc who is making extravagant dishes at 7am in the morning for hours. Its super inconvenient to wait hours to use the kitchen. Someone who is a little more mindful for the space and practical in general!! I don’t make fancy dishes, not a huge cook but I would like to be able to use my kitchen. LOL ..Someone who loves doing the dishes the same day/immediately is also appreciated! Haha. The fridge cannot hold food for a whole family so if you are someone who overstocks .. then that would be an issue.

I don’t throw huge parties or anything(those days are gone), i SOMETIMES invite couple friends over, I would always check in to see if its ok. I expect the same from my roomie (if there is a huge party, the neighbours would immediately call the cops so that can’t happen) i prefer to go out rather than having people over!

I would prefer a roommate who doesn’t have the same work schedule as mine(if not then its not an absolute deal breaker but that would be ideal!) So we aren’t always in each other’s space. I usually go to work Mon-Fr around 8:30-9am and back by 4:30-5pm and I eat pretty early around 5-6pm so I cook around those times. If you are someone who works during the evenings/ likes to wake up late, have a different schedule than mine that would be ideal! For the both of us.

Also I like the apartment pretty warm in the winter, i have low cold tolerance so if you are someone who likes freezing temperatures in the house in the winter then that wouldn’t work :/

I prefer not to have friends as roommates but rather have a roommate turn into a nice friend! If you are a chill fun loving , mature , clean young female- either a working professional or a masters student and are okay with all these quirks please reach out to me! Would love to chat and get to know you better! I am looking for a long term roommate- atleast 2 years.
