About the room
Unfurnished room in furnished apartment. A very old house in Kensington Market, complete with all the quirks an old house brings. This is a great price for the size of the space. We have two floors above a store. There is a large living space, large kitchen, w/ high ceilings. The room is on the third floor. There is a lot of bright light. The house is artsy, with a lot of character. There are a lot of books in the common area. The kitchen has a full sized table and can be seated at. There is so much kitchen stuff, I can’t see what more you’d need in it. There is a balcony out the window, that we’re not supposed to use, but we do. There is also a backyard that has seen better days. We recycle but don’t compost. We take turns cleaning the bathroom, and each roomie finds a chore in the house to help out with.
There are two roomies (both male) and two personable cats. Currently we are both working from home. We don’t socialize but there is room for it, if you want to. One tenant has been in the house for 18 years. It is very comfortable. The other tenant is also long term (about 5 years). The apartment is leased to the one tenant, and the other two rooms are sublet. The landlords aren’t the best.
It is very Kensington. It is hard to keep spotless. You will know if it’s for you, when you see it.
Please be serious and not a dick. Living with people is complicated and requires a huge adjustment period. Let’s be relaxed and respectful about it.

Also because of COVID-19 and it’s affects, we will probably do a single afternoon showing for interested parties. We are going to ask interested parties wear masks for any viewings. We have been covid free this pandemic.
