Room in a recently renovated and spacious character home, located just off of Commercial Drive! Quiet environment ideal for students/working professionals.

The Millenium and Expo Skytrain lines, #99 and #09 bus lines are all within a 5 minute walk, making it easy to quickly travel anywhere in the Lower Mainland. The #20 stops just a half block away, providing connections to other bus lines as well. Grocery stores, markets, shops, restaurants/bars, community centres, and parks are all located just a short walk away.

The room is located in the basement and is the only bedroom on the floor, making it quiet and private as it is isolated from the other bedrooms. The laundry is also located on this floor, but otherwise, you have most of the basement to yourself! It is the largest room in the house as well (roughly 9’ x 16’ish). It is unfurnished and has its own private washroom with a shower.

The rent is $875 + utilities (internet, gas, hydro). Security deposit is a half month’s rent. Single humans only- sorry, no couples, and no pets. Please be able to provide references and proof of financial stability.

The house itself was built in the 30s, and has been recently renovated. The main floor has big bright windows, high ceilings, and plenty of space, plus patios in the front and back, and a large backyard with some garden space. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances/cooking ware, with a gas stove. Fridge and cupboard space is shared and you will have your own place to store things. There is no dishwasher.

There is a washing machine but no dryer. However, there are drying lines in the laundry area and in the backyard.

I’m a 26 year old SFU student, studying Geoscience, and my mom has recently moved in with me as she is studying Registered Massage Therapy at VCMT. We’re both silly and get along like best friends, and try to keep a fun, safe and respectful environment. We are doing our studies from home, so we like to keep things quiet.

We also have an 18 year old cat named Oliver who specializes in cuddling, hugs, purring, and meowing loudly- so if you’re a light sleeper, he might wake you (I’m not kidding).

We’re easygoing, friendly, mature, respectful, and communicate with one another to keep the house clean and keep noise levels down. We’re looking for someone who’s able to contribute to that environment in a positive way– it’s imperative that you are also respectful, open, happy to contribute to house chores, communicative, and clean.
