The room is on the second-floor. You would be living with two others on the second floor, in a shared house with 6 people. We have no particular age or gender preference for a roommate, people of all ages are welcome to come down and check out the house - maturity and respect are our only requirements. The house is large and spacious, but also very old, and myself and the other longtime tenant and friend of mine have spent many years patching it up and doing maintenance, as it was abused for a long time by previous groups of tenants. We now look at it as our home, not just a rooming house. The house is pretty big - The common area is quite large, we have a huge open kitchen, and an equally huge backyard leading out into the alleyway behind the house. If you have a vehicle and you are willing to absorb the space into the cost of your rent, we would consider giving you parking priority - a private parking space downtown can be very difficult to find!

The room you’d be renting has a large closet and storage area, as well as a high ceiling, and you’re just down the hall from the main second-floor bathroom. Utilities are included in the rental price. Washer/Dryer is on-site and free. Internet cost is spread amongst the roommates, usually doesn’t come to more than $15-$20 a month.

We are 420-friendly, although we don’t smoke cigarettes in the house, weed is fine. Just so it’s clear - this is not a frat-type party house - having a couple of your friends over occasionally is fine, sizable gatherings of drunk/high people getting out of hand is not. We value our things and our privacy here (and by extension, are willing to respect yours) - for example, we endeavor not to make noise on the main floor after midnight, and strictly respect each other’s food/beer in the fridge. On the other hand, we don’t mind girlfriends or boyfriends, and they are even free to stay overnight here with you whenever you want, so long as they follow the general rules of the place (the aforementioned maturity and respect). We are generally pretty lenient and understanding - follow the golden rule, pay rent on time, clean up after yourself, and we’ll get along just fine. As far as pets go, we wouldn’t mind having a cat, as long as you take care of it and clean the litter regularly. Beyond that, we’d rather not have animals in the house, for various reasons.
