Summerhill Avenue

It is a ground floor apartment in beautiful Rosedale. There are large windows and hardwood floors throughout the living room and bedrooms with tiled kitchen and bathroom. It is steps from the Summerhill Market, walking distance to Evergreen Brickworks, and lots of beautiful parks. The kitchen is fully stocked with a Nespresso machine, kettle, blender, oven, sandwich press, toaster oven, microwave, crockpot, hand mixer, lots of bakeware, all dishes and cutlery. The bathroom is shared and is a shower/ tub combo. Your room will include a bedframe (no mattress) and an optional dresser (currently in the living room as storage since the current roommate brought her own). The living room has a smartTV with Netflix and Disney Plus and I’m currently shopping for a comfier couch. The only extra bill beyond rent is internet for $25.

I’m 28 and I am currently enrolled in winter term at Ryerson University in my 5th year of the fashion design program. I was a competitive figure skater and now teach part time as well as design figure skating costumes. I also worked part time at the Bride’s Project in a non-lockdown world. In my spare time, I really enjoy cooking, baking, and trying to keep my plants alive. I like to relax by having a glass of wine and curling up to watch Netflix. I have a sweet 7yr old cat named Mowgli who loves his snacks and snuggles. Unfortunately, other animals stress him out so we are unable to accommodate any other pets at the moment (as much as I would love to have another animal to love).

Who I’m looking for: I’m looking for someone who identifies as female and is mature, clean, quiet, responsible, and respectful of others’ space. Although I am not vegan/ vegetarian, I respect those that are and am happy to share my space with them too. I am hoping for someone who does not smoke, but this is not a deal breaker. I just ask that you keep your cigarettes/ weed in your room and smoke outside (vape included).

COVID expectations: Due to the ongoing COVID situation, it is important to me to find someone that is adhering to the social distancing guidelines to the best of their abilities. I understand that some jobs require interaction with the public and cannot be avoided, my current roommate is a nanny so I get it. For mental health purposes, I do not mind if you have a friend or partner over occasionally, as long as it is the same person and they are also trying to distance to the best of their abilities.
