About the room

Hi friends! I’m looking for a female and/or non-binary roommate for a spacious but cozy 2-bedroom apartment, located in a heritage building in Mount Pleasant. The apartment is 850 sq ft and full of character. I’m slowly furnishing our shared living area, though your room (the larger one!) will be unfurnished. Although there is no view from the bedrooms, our space gets a ton of natural light - I’d love for it to be filled with greenery, and I’m starting to grow a collection of plants.

Our unit comes with one shared parking space (which I make little use of most of the time as I don’t own a car), and is cat-friendly! I have a playful and loving cat named Oatmeal (a year old and spayed), and would welcome another cat(s). The building has shared, out-of-unit laundry, and is well-situated: a 5-minute walk to Broadway St, Cambie St, bus and skytrain, and a 10-minute walk to Main St.

It would be $1200/month plus utilities and wi-fi (which come to ~$150/month total), but I’m comfortable covering the bills myself if they’re a barrier. I’m looking for someone to move in early in the new year (Jan-Feb), and am flexible with dates.

About the roomies

I’d like to find someone around my age (mid-twenties) who wants to form a friendship, as well as be roommates. I’d love to explore the neighbourhood (and wider outdoors!) together, share home-cooked meals, and do small art/home improvement projects to make our space feel more comfy. I value open communication, a clean and safe home, and, as an introvert, personal space and alone time.

At the moment, I work remotely full time so I’m home during the day, though I’m interested in finding a co-working space nearby. In my spare time I enjoy biking, hiking, cooking and baking, knitting, and listening to music. I’m also interested in sustainability, and am taking steps towards reducing waste at home.

Please reach out if this might be a fit or if you have any questions. Thanks!
