About the room

The spare room in my condo is a charming, cozy space on the opposite side of the living space from the master bedroom. This gives us a bit of separation to help with privacy, instead of having both bedrooms share a wall.

I have an en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom, so you effectively have your own private full bathroom with a tub. Guests will use this bathroom when visiting.

The unit is West facing and gets lots of natural sunlight throughout the afternoon, and a fantastic view of the downtown Toronto Skyline. The sunset views that you get from the unit are beautiful. It also features a large balcony that spans the length of the unit. It is a lovely place to hang out on a sunny day and a great space for growing plants during the warmer seasons.

The unit and building are quite new. Construction was completed on the building at the beginning of 2019. The building has a few amenities, including a party room with a kitchen for large parties, a third floor terrace with 2 BBQs that can be used during the warmer weather, as well as an exercise room and a media room(no equipment in either at the moment, but the condo board is discussing adding some in the future).

There is a pretty great community of people living at this building because a lot of the residents are owners, who have a vested interest in making this place a great place to live. Some of the neighbours are into baking and like to drop off treats every once in a while.

The neighbourhood is vibrant, and has close access to both the TTC and GO Transit and features a fantastic walk score. Just about everything that you would need is within walking distance of the building and you are 20 minutes from downtown by transit. The building is right off Danforth Ave. and has easy access to the beaches and Queen St. East. If you are into nature walks/ rides, the building is a 10 minute walk from Taylor Creek Park, which connects over to the Don Valley. If you are into cycling like myself, there are lots of great places to ride in the area as well, some of which can be done without having to deal with traffic for the most part.

About the roomies

I am a 35 year old man who currently works from home for Shopify. I mostly keep to myself, although I am someone who enjoys socializing and spending time with friends and letting loose every once in a while.

The COVID-19 pandemic has kept me mostly at home for the last 2 years and has put a damper on my plans to have social functions with my friends here. I am hoping that will change once the circumstances of the pandemic do.

I do not smoke tobacco, and no longer smoke cannabis, although I am not opposed to having a roommate that smokes cannabis.

I am into playing PC games, movies and TV shows. The TV in the living room is equipped with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ currently. I am also into cycling. I have 3 bikes currently: 2 road bikes and one track bike.
