About the room
OFFERING #offeringhousing #couplesok
Type: 1 Bedroom available in a 2 bed + bath apartment
Level: 3rd floor walk up
Earliest Available: March 1st
Term: 12 month lease
Rent: $1270/month ($1690 for couple) (utilities and wifi included)
Location: Located near Bloor Street West/Brunswick Avenue. 4-minute walk to Spadina Station, metro grocery store, and shoppers pharmacy. Tons of restaurants/shops. Very conveniently located!
Accessibility: Third Floor walk up, only accessible via narrow stairs. Occasional incense burning in house (happy to stop if you are sensitive). Apartment gets good natural light (especially on our patio!). I have depression/anxiety and, as such, am empathetic to various mental health conditions. I have 2 cats, short hair domestics so tons of fur in the apartment is not an issue β I also am diligent in βde-furringβ the apartment lol. The apartment is fairly quite, especially the room for rent β I do like to listen to music but Iβm not one to blast music loudly late into the night (only on the odd occasion, love a roommate dance party π). I have the occasional drink but do not drink regularly. The apartment is 420 friendly, I myself partake every other day. Smoking tobacco is acceptable on the patio.
Queer Safety: I am a queer woman who has primarily lived with others in the LGBTQIA+ community. I have had great success finding my last 3 roommates via this group and have formed lasting friendships π. Only individuals who are a part of or allies of the queer community will be permitted to live/enter this space.
About the space: The building is very old (like 100+ years old). It has been renovated somewhat recently, but still has a lot of character! There is no laundry on site (but many laundromats in the area), Radiator heating, Air Conditioned with two AC units in the hallway/living room. The apartment is on the top floor above one other unit. I am 420 friendly and tobacco smoking is cool on the patio. The available room is the largest and the quietest as it is located in the middle of the apartment. See the badly drawn sketch of the unit below, indicating the available room. Although located in the middle of the apartment this room does get light via a window connected to a skylight! An old school building code requirement π. The room comes with a closet and there is plenty of room for a queen bed, dresser or 2, and a desk - with room to spare!
Please shoot me a message and tell me a little about yourself if you are interested!
About the roomies
Georgia: Iβm a queer, white, 26 year old woman (pronouns: she/her), originally from Vancouver. I moved to Toronto 9ish years ago to study engineering and now work as a Civil Engineer, with a passion for heritage restoration. When Iβm not working or playing with my cats I love to paint, do yoga, vintage shop, or garden! Creatives highly welcomed - I spend almost all my free time painting, hence the third room being a shared studio space!
