About the space: Beautiful, stylish, high-ceiling, huge windows, corner unit in a brand new building within the heart of Port Moody. Near lots of outdoor spaces nearby and a block away from brewers row aka the BC Ale Trail. Gorgeous north-facing views of the inlet and mountains. Private unfurnished (furnished is possible) room and a private bathroom with a tub/shower. Furnished home is decorated with a working port at sunset vibe. Underground parking (1 spot) and storage available as needed. Directly beside the bus/skytrain station. Grocery stores are close by ~10-minute driving/skytrain or ~20-minute walk along Rocky Point park. Restaurants and larger shopping centers are around also.

About you: You identify as a woman, you’re a professional or working student with a stable income, and are looking for a beautiful space to call home for 6 months or longer. You might work from home occasionally but typically work elsewhere (…the room won’t make a great bedroom/office combo - ultimately that will be up to you - but my preference is for common spaces not to be predominant workspaces). You like the city to be easily accessible but to live outside of it and enjoy getting outdoors/enjoying local greenspaces. You’re an animal lover and like the idea of living with a big, friendly 2-year-old dog. You might even have a pet yourself who also likes the idea of living with a dog! You are health-conscious and having a gym in the building is a perk but maybe you’re also like me in that you prefer to join exercise classes nearby or hit the trails. While you enjoy being social, you can also respect private time, but are ultimately looking to have a solid relationship with your roommate and you practice good communication skills.

About me: Early 30s professional woman - working from home full time - managing environmental projects in the Pacific region. I am new to the mainland having moved from Victoria to relocate to Port Moody for my current position. Having moved into this gorgeous apartment 6 months ago, with my now ex-partner, I am post-separation and looking to find someone that would love to share this home with me. I am a vegetarian with a love for the occasional seafood (ahem flexitarian) and have taken on the role of cooking meat-based food for my dog. I don’t have any allergies and don’t judge others’ eating preferences whatsoever. In fact, I practice non-judgement as much as possible, across the board. I am an easy-going and flexible person - open to having people over & having a drink or two on occasion - but I am also learning to set healthier boundaries and value respect above all.
