Hi everyone! We are looking for someone to take over the basement in our house from our roommate who is moving out. We are in the Ward area with groceries, coffee, trails etc all close by

Available from august 1st, maybe a couple days earlier if you need!

The rent is $1300 plus utilities and for that you’ll get the biggest bedroom in the house, a large area that can easily be split into a living room and office area, and your own bathroom and shower. The laundry room is off your living area so occasionally we would need to pass through to get to it but otherwise the space is all yours. We all share a kitchen! You’ll also get full access to the cute front yard and porch, and our big beautiful back yard and deck!

It’s pretty spacious down there so we are open to couples!

We would also prefer folks who are mid 20s and up. Queer or queer-friendly is a must!

Accessibility info - of course with this being the basement, it’s down a flight of stairs. Additionally, there are one or two steps into both the front and back doors. We both have our mental health stuff and it’s okay if you do too! So long as we all stay communicative and are understanding of each other’s needs and boundaries.

Please be aware that some of the pictures are from when the house was last advertised professionally and therefore the rooms look very bare and touched up! I included them to show the size of the space with less stuff in it, as our current roommate has a whole home office and music practice space down there!

We are a household that likes to cook together, garden together, make art, and play Mario kart way too often. We are not a party house but we occasionally have a couple of friends over.

We also have two dogs (one big and one small, both sweet weirdos) and a grumpy cat. We would prefer no other animals BUT are open to discussion.
