About the room

About the house: I have a 1520sq foot modular home. Utilities and internet are included in the rent. The room can be furnished or not, depending on your needs. Non-smoking house. There is 1 bedroom and access to a bathroom that is shared with 1 other roommate.

There is a fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer, deep freeze and BBQ available. Dishes are supplied, as well as space in the pantry and fridge for your food and supplies.

Residents: I am clean and keep to myself mostly, until you get to know me. I am 46 years old and not prone to having parties at the house. I work from home during the day, and sometimes I am have video conferences, during those times, I need the house to be quite.

The other female roommate is quiet, and keeps to herself, until you get to know her. She is retired, and comes and goes, but spends most of her time in her room.

About you: Female or LGBTQ+ preferred. You MUST be a NON-SMOKER. You would need to be the type of person that cleans up after themselves in the common living space area (kitchen, living room, dining room). You should be professional, courteous and working full time or attending school and able to pay your rent on time. Rent is due on the last day of the month.

Pets: There is 1 cat in the house. Other pets will be considered.

Bedroom: This bedroom is 9’ 10β€œ x 9’ 8β€œ with a standard closet. This room can be furnished or unfurnished, depending on your needs. The bed is a twin bed, and there is a small dresser, as well as ample storage space.

Bathroom: Care and cleaning of this bathroom would be the responsibility of yourself and the other roommate (female).

Community: There is a large community center for parties and rentals if you would like. There are parks and playgrounds around. This is a family oriented community. Transit is a 5 minute walk (Route Number 53) and will take you to Market Mall or Brentwood C-Train station, or transfer to the #1 to get downtown. The community is right on the NW edge of the city at 16th Ave Bowfort Road.

Parking: Included if you have a car. The parking spot is approximately 1/2 block from the house. It is a safe space, we have had cars there for days without so much as a scratch. There is no power at this spot for block heaters.
