Oregon Avenue

I am looking to share my 2 bedroom 1 bath suite on the main floor of house. The house is in a quiet but central location on a corner lot in eclectic Fernwood; a short jaunt to the Belfry theater, local pubs and restaurants, Vic high, recreation centers, convenience stores and several community gardens. The neighbours are all lovely and watch out for one another. The Royal Jubilee Hospital is also a short walk (5-7 min) if you’re a hospital worker. Downtown is only a 20 min walk max and the whole area is extremely bike friendly. There is a gated area for bike storage. During the summer I plant various fruits, veggies and flowers. Although I don’t have a dog, I would consider a small/med size dog that is well behaved. Sorry no feline fur babies. The yard is not fenced but there is a dog park a block away. There are several bus routes nearby to Camosun and UVic. 20 min or less walk or short drive to malls and grocery stores. The house is furnished and the bedroom could be furnished or unfurnished. Also I welcome any additions you would like to bring to the home and would have no problem putting some of my things in storage or donating. I don’t drink but am not opposed to my roommate imbibing, just no rowdy parties. Smoking is only permitted outside, although I am 420 friendly, again, no smoking in the house. The bathroom is shared with a full tub and shower. Laundry is in suite, dishwasher and microwave available. The utilities and wifi are included but no cable. The TV in the common area is a smart TV with chromecast. Food would be individual and we would split on common household items (tp, papertowel, dish/laundry, etc) I don’t bother with a car as I work and play within walking distance, but there is plenty of free street parking in front of the house

I’m a 45 yrs old, young at heart female working as an RN. I’ve lived in Victoria this time around for 17 years and absolutely love my city. In the summer I spend alot of time gardening, hiking, camping and love to travel. At home I enjoy music, yoga, binging Netflix when the weather is wet, knitting and learning Spanish and guitar. I also enjoy cooking, baking and preserving, so the kitchen has almost anything you’d need including blender, juicer, coffeemaker, crockpot, etc. I have a healthy respect for the community I live in and am avid about recycling and composting. Although I’m not a clean freak, I like to keep the house tidy and a cleaning routine can be worked out with the right roommate fit. I’m really easy going, respectful of others privacy and space and don’t pass judgement. Would appreciate open lines of communication and common respect to myself and our home. I’m looking for a like minded roommate who is also fairly laid back and who doesn’t invite drama to the homestead.
