1 unfurnished bedroom available in a 2 bedroom apartment in the Governor’s Brook neighbourhood of Spryfield (it’s in a brand new development, up on a hill). The unit was built in 2018, has in-suite laundry, a large balcony, the kitchen has a built-in microwave and dishwasher (and obviously a fridge and a stove!) and an island with an extra wide and deep sink. The available room has a large closet and large windows. The bathroom is shared. The book shelf in the photos will be moved out of the room before you move in.

Rent: $650 per month Rent includes: high-speed wireless internet. Rent does not include: Nova Scotia Power Bill (to be split 50/50), parking (there is on-site parking for a cost). There is also a bus stop directly in front of the building.

• Fixed-term 6 month lease to start, with option to extend if we are compatible roommates.
• 100% non-smoking, not open to cigarettes, vaping or “420”.
• The unit is pet-friendly (maximum of 2 pets in the unit) and I already have a dog. New roommate could potentially have 1 pet, but it would depend on how well that pet gets along with my dog and how well-behaved the pet is.
• Looking to rent to a single professional or grad student. No couples.
• Am open to male or female roommate. I am a straight female but completely LGBTQ+ friendly.
• The unit does have air conditioning for the summer months, we would have to work out an agreement on how much we want to use that based on the power bill.
• I do not currently pay for cable, just Netflix and Amazon Prime, both of which you are welcome to use on the living room TV, but would be open to splitting on it if it’s important to you.
• Security deposit to move in is $325.

I’m a 34-year-old female professional with a medium-sized nine-year-old dog, Buffy (yes, like the vampire slayer). I work full-time Monday to Friday, and am quiet, clean and respectful. I am looking for the same traits in a roommate! I am originally from Nova Scotia, and just recently returned after 12 years of living in Ontario and British Columbia.

I’m looking for a great living situation with a roommate - we don’t have to be best friends for life, but I definitely want to live with someone I get along with well so the energy in the home is comfortable and positive. I will want to meet with potential roommates for coffee outside of the unit first. The room is currently available, but I’m willing to wait for the right roommate, so could be for April 1, May 1 or June 1.
