My current roommate got a job in Ottawa so is sadly leaving me. I’m looking for a new roommate to take her room.

UNIT: 1 bedroom in a 2-bedroom apartment available from September 1st, 2020

PRICE: $1036/month does not include utilities - Hydro usually between $30-$60 a month - internet negotiable, looking at a new provider for September- all bills split 50/50. Laundry is in the basement and is $2.75 per wash and $1.75 per dryer. You are given a laundry card when you move in.

RENT CONTROL: Unit was used for residential purposes prior to Nov 15 2018.

LOCATION: Wellesley and Jarvis - less than a 5 minute walk from Wellesley Subway Station, close to University of Toronto, Ryerson University, OCAD, St Michael’s Hospital, the Eaton Centre and 35 minute walk to the Downtown Financial Core. There is a Loblwas, Freshco, Food Basics and No frills all within walking distance. There is also nice green space close by, The Brickworks and Riverdale Park West. There is an outdoor public swimming pool located in Riverdale Park East (11 minute cycle form the apartment).

LEASE TERMS: 1 year lease starting September 1st - paying rent directly to the Landlord

References Additional info: The building has rooftop outdoor area, rooftop indoor pool and gym. There are a lot of long term tenants in the building which gives as nice community vibe.

The room is spacious double bedroom for rent in a two bedroom apartment. Apartment is furnished, bedroom is unfurnished. The apartment has aircon and heating.

Sharing apartment with myself, in my 30’s, originally from Dublin, Ireland. I have been living in Toronto 3 years. I work downtown in commercial real estate full time and used to teach yoga and meditation part time before Covid. I’m looking to get back to teaching when the time comes. I am easy going, I like to chat but also know how to respect personal space and time. I liked to keep the apartment clean but I’m not obsessive about it and clean as I go and as needed.
