FURNISHED bedroom, 8’x10’, West-Facing with a Captain’s twin-sized bed with a headboard and drawers, dresser, book shelf, desk, chair, TV, lamps, closet, w/w carpet, electric heating thermostat and a bar fridge.

This small but cozy room is in a Co-ed (mixed gender) 4-bedroom upper duplex. It is available for $690/month, and includes utilities, i.e., heat, hot water, hydro, cable with several movie channels and WIFI (but of course not a phone). Also included are dishware, pots/pans, utensils, garbage bags, toilet tissue, dish and hand soap. At this time, bathroom and kitchen cleaning is a shared rotated duty.

Share a full bathroom with 48 and 50-yr old men, and the full kitchen, diningroom, livingroom and wood burning fireplace with them and a mid-50s women. Charcoal BBQ on upstairs balcony. Washer and dryer are on the ground floor. Free no time-limit street parking. Unfortunately we have no closed storage for bikes but you can lock it up against our wire lattice fence post.

We’re on East 5th, 1 block east of Lonsdale and 2 blocks from 3rd street where amenities, coffee shops, seawall, bicycle paths, restaurants and public transit are avail. Also, we are several blocks away from Seabus to downtown, which is a 13-minute ride.

For household compatibility reasons, seeking a N/S (evape ok), sociable, respectful of house rules (e.g., will keep room clean), employed, professional, business, semi-retired, retired person between 40 and 55 years. Prefer not to have someone who needs to go to bed at 10pm. While 11pm is better, midnight is best. Prefer someone longterm, but contract is month to month.

Sorry–no smoking indoors, no drugs, no heavy/excessive drinking, no parties and no pets (except fish) are permitted.

A security deposit of half the room fee, ID and previous landlord references are required.
