Maitland Place

Hi there, looking for a roommate to take the second bedroom in my two-bedroom/ two-bathroom apartment in downtown Toronto. The apartment is in a sizeable condo building with a ton of amenities (library, gym, pool, cinema, convenience store to name just a few) just off Maitland/Jarvis, minutes walk to the subway, Yonge St, Allan Gardens, Maple Leaf Loblaws etc. etc. Apartment has two bathrooms, so the second would essentially be yours alone. Also include, a sizeable balcony and in-suite dishwasher, washer and dryer. For the “security” deposit above, this is last month rent rather than any security deposit. I just couldn’t leave the field blank.

You’d be living with me (a gay man in his 40s) and my rescue pup (who is three years old). We’re fairly laidback (well, pup is a little timid) and respectful and looking for someone who is as committed to making a home as we are. I’m an avid movie fan but also enjoy reading, occasional handicrafts and I’m trying to teach myself to be a better cook. The pup is a big fan of napping and whatever it is that you are eating. I’m originally from Australia but have lived in Canada since 2011. The pup is Korean but has been here since 2018. Open to most prospective roommates except for cat owners (allergies, I’m sorry) and smokers (that one’s the condo building more than me - they have a blanket ban on it for the building).
