About the room
About the Apartment: It’s the ground floor apartment of a two unit house. It’s an open concept. It has a large kitchen with a breakfast bar and countertop dishwasher. There’s one bathroom, a back patio, a lot of indoor storage, hardwood floors, high ceilings, and a driveway parking space. It also has a carpeted, multipurpose basement that has been used as a workout room, tv room, office, crafting room, etc. The apartment is scent-free due to my allergies and my bird. She’s a quiet parrot, and she’ll likely adopt you as one of her humans if you spend time with her. Internet is approximately $33 per month.
About the Bedroom: It’s cozy and unfurnished. It has hardwood floors, wainscoting, a closet, and a big window. Painting it is a possibility.
About the Location: The location is awesome. We’re in walking distance from all amenities, McNabb park, Little Italy, Chinatown, Dow’s Lakes, and the Glebe. Nearby bus stops include: 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 55, 114. The laundromat is a couple blocks away. The owners are really nice, and it has wifi.
Accessibility: There are three steps to the apartment door, a small step at our front door, a flight of stairs down to the basement, and 3 steps down to the back patio. The entryway and bathroom don’t meet wheelchair space standards.
About the roomies
I’m in my mid-30’s. I’m non-binary, queer, and I’ve lived with roommates for many years. I’m tidy, respectful, and happy to split chores and household expenses. I enjoy living with people who like to chat /interact with their roommates. COVID safety is important to me because I have high-risk people in my life.
I’m looking for someone with similar qualities: mature, a few years of roommate experience, tidy, respectful, LGBTQI+ or an ally, willing to split chores and small housing expenses. You practice COVID safety and, ideally, you’re looking for something long-term.
