We have a room available in our lovely large heritage house in South Jubilee, and we are looking for a mature and responsible person to join the four of us!

The room is available on May 1st, and we are flexible on the length of time. The house has easy access to major bus routes and a great list of amenities, including in-suite laundry, a large bathtub, a fully equipped kitchen, lots of common space, hardwood floors, endless hot water, a large backyard, and garden, and a locked shed. The bedroom is not furnished, but the rest of the house is. The room would be best suited to a double or single bed because of the size, but it does have a full closet.

We are looking for a roommate interested in a communal living arrangement that would involve sharing food, basic household expenses, cooking duties, and chores. We are LGBTQ2+ and Poly friendly, sex-positive, and striving for open and honest communication. Our diets are reasonably healthy, including meat (but often vegetarian or fish), but we occasionally like treats. We enjoy guests and social gatherings, but we also enjoy getting a good night’s sleep. We’re not perfect, but we live by the idea of always wanting to grow and improve. We are vaccinated and are looking for the same. There are stairs leading up to the house, and the bedroom and main bathroom are on the second floor. Sorry, no pets, smoking, or strong scents due to allergies.

The rent is $635/month. Along with rent, a monthly living expense is $375/month, including all of your food, utilities, and other household supplies. Alison (she/her/they/them) is a student working towards a career in the nonprofit sector. She is a Treasurer for a couple of nonprofits, teaches dance, and lives in Germany part of the time. Matt (he/him) has a passion for cooking large meals and also teaches dance. He is an Engineer and works as a Supply Chain Manager for a local biotech firm. Paul (he/him) is a student working on a Linguistics Masters. You can almost always find him with a book in his hands, and usually coffee too. Alex (he/him) is a recent UVic grad working full-time at a local coffee roaster. He likes getting out for bike rides and chefing it up in the kitchen.
