Hi there! I’m looking to rent out a room in a two bedroom house in the West End with a large, sunny backyard and free parking and laundry in the basement. The biggest downside is that it is on the smaller side for a house and the basement is unfinished and a tad creepy but if that doesn’t bother you it’s a good spot, really well located. I don’t have pets myself but I love animals so your pets are very welcome. The landlord is easy going so you can paint if you want, I repainted most of the rooms last summer and might do more this summer. The pictures I have posted are from when I painted, but I promise there is actually furniture in it normally! Utilities are cheap most of the year, but heating Dec-March can suck but isn’t bad if we’re careful. About <75 pp for most of the year but can be up to 125 pp for the 4 coldest months. I know that’s not ideal but I’ve definitely gotten the heating bill lower than that it just depends on how frugal you want to be, last year it was lower but this winter my roommate was more easy going with the thermostat and we ended up paying about 125 each those months. I also don’t have a TV or a microwave, but we can talk about getting one if that’s important to you! I’m all about compromise and am happy to be flexible to your needs.

I’m 28 years old, moved here about 4 years ago, and I’m going into my 3rd year at King’s for Early Modern Studies/History. I’m easy going and generous, I love traveling, going camping and hiking, reading books, and enjoying music and art. I also love to cook/bake & practice yoga, if I’m in the common spaces that’s generally what I’ll be doing. I also like happy smells so I tend to have incense or candles burning, if you are sensitive to that I could keep them in my room though. I’m a warm person but on the introverted side so if you like to chat I’m happy to engage but I’m also perfectly content giving you space if that’s what you prefer. I’m pretty flexible and like to make sure there there is a good energy in the house so I’m happy to adapt to keep everyone comfortable.
