We are a couple moving to Thunder Bay from the GTA for October 1st 2022, Nov 1st worst case scenario with the housing market. We are looking for a roommate to share the home with and get to know before the moving in date.

We’re both alt, disabled, queer and artists/musicians. It’s been a priority of ours to find a house for rent so we can enjoy our space and create freely. With the housing situation and its economic state, we are unfortunately unable to do this on our own at this time. We’re looking for a third person to share a home with. We’re relatively flexible; throughout this post, I’ll explain some qualities and similarities we’re hoping to find in someone. :))

We strive and aspire to maintain a certain level of routine/consistency when it comes to running a household. Before moving in, we would want to have some serious conversations about priorities/boundaries/morality expectations (covid safety included) and how we could all exist in a safe, healthy way to keep the house a peaceful home environment. After heavily vetting what our roommate dynamic would look like in a way that works for us all, we would collectively create a roommate agreement. You would also have influence on aspects of our living situation, of course. This would include household rules, maintenance expectations/a chore schedule, personal boundaries/personal aspects that could influence each of us, and a conflict resolution protocol. We’ll also have a household group chat for day to day communications, as well as to call household meetings if more serious matters have to be discussed.
