Student roommate or recent grad wanted!

Rooms available: This is a 3+1 bed, 3 and 1/2 bath condo in McDougall Landing my parents bought for my brother and I to go to school. We are renting out the master bedroom in the condo (Large bedroom with ensuite and large closet). We also just inherited a ton of stuff so if you need furnishings we probably have some we could loan you to use.

Living Areas: We’re very friendly so all spaces of the house would be open to use. The main floor is open concept with an island and lots of cupboard space. The condo also has a front and back porch so if you love to sit outside to study in summer this place is great! The condo community is friendly and the condo has additional security features so it’s quite safe. The condo has laundry and a dishwasher as well as lots of freezer space! If you have a car, you would get a parking pass within the condo community. The condo also has a garage that we’re willing to share depending on who needs it. We don’t have any pets of our own but we are open to cat or dog owners so long as they’re house trained and friendly. It’s also air-conditioned, you don’t have to sweat it out in the summer!

Area: The condo is only a 7 minute walk to the Kingsway LRT station so there is easy access to UofA, Macewan, and NAIT (15 minute train ride to UofA, 15 minute walk to Macewan). There is a park nearby as well as we’re only a few blocks away from downtown Jasper Ave.

Who We’re Looking For: a student or recent grad who doesn’t smoke or do drugs. Someone respectful but preferably someone social who doesn’t mind hanging out in their free time. It’s also totally cool if you want your private person and need a lot of space, we just want someone that we can generally vibe with and be comfortable around.

Move-In: We got possession of the condo mid-August and will be redoing the main floor flooring and painting. So it should be move in ready for August 29th-30th. We will be redoing the basement suite likely until October as it needs a little extra love. Lease could be 8 or 12 months. Utilities are included in the rent price and we would split Wifi costs. We are definitely open to splitting grocery costs and cooking together as well especially if you’re into meal prepping.

I am a 23 year old female graduate student at the UofA doing my Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Previously I completed my BA in Kinesiology and Music at Augustana in Camrose, so I love music as well as most sports and fitness. I’m usually pretty busy, so I do not spend very much time at home. My brother is 21 and taking some time off from school. He is a security guard, quiet and keeps to himself. He’s super laid back, generous, and loves to cook. Bonus if you’re a bit of a nerd and love video games!
