Move in date is flexible as we are primarily looking for a good fit for a roommate!

Room available in a 3 bedroom townhouse in Kanata, ON. The bedroom can either come furnished with a queen sized bed, nightstand, and small desk or we can leave it unfurnished for you. The room is a tad on the small side, but has a walk in closet! The rest of the house is completely furnished, but we could probably make room for a few more things if you have them. The place has 1.5 bathrooms, a dishwasher, and in-suite laundry. We have fibre internet at the place as well which is included in the rent. Hydro will be paid separate as it really fluctuates with the seasons. There’s plenty of storage between the basement and the shed in the yard. There’s a bit of a garden area in the front which is south facing, so ideal for growing any plants if you have any to bring with you. The place is a couple min walk to several bus stops including the 62 and 63 routes to Ottawa. We currently use the one parking spot that comes with the place, but it’s possible to pay for another spot in the complex (outdoor parking). We do have an elderly cat that sometimes howls really loud in the morning (we have a water spray bottle to help with this). He is very affectionate and cuddly most of the time so hopefully you enjoy having a cat on your lap. We are open to having more cats in the house as he would love to have a cuddle buddy!

We are a couple in our late 20s and early 30s looking to fill the spare bedroom in our rental. We are both queer and would love to have another queer person join our space! Or at the very least must be queer friendly. We are both working full time jobs Monday-Friday between the hours of 7 to 5 and go to bed around 9:30pm. One of us works from home out of the 3rd bedroom in the basement. We are environmentally conscious so we care a lot about composting, recycling, and creating as little waste as possible. We are both vegan, but don’t expect you to be (we would just ask that you use your own cutting board and pans for cooking meat). If you enjoy playing board games or TTRPGs you’ll fit right in! Neither of us smokes or drinks. Cannabis is welcome as long as you smoke outside or consume edibles.

The landlord is leaving it up to us to find a roommate, but they will have to give final approval. He’s really quite chill and has consistently fixed any problems we have brought up.
