Hi! My name is Julia. I’m 24, I’m a grad student (school psychology) at MSVU.

I am looking for a female roommate for a spacious 1427sqf, 2 bedroom apartment in the Bedford area.

The lease is 1 year, from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023.

Located on a major bus route (Bedford Hwy), and backs onto the beautiful Hemlock Ravine park. 5 minute bus/drive away from Mount Saint Vincent University. Ground floor apartment, south facing (lots of natural light)!

I’m looking to share this apartment with another (female) student or young professional, ideally around age 22-28. We would each have our own bedroom and would share the rest of the space. We would also share tasks such as cooking and cleaning, and other chores.

No pets or smoking is allowed. The apartment is not furnished, but I will be bringing some kitchen supplies and a few furnishings for the shared spaces.

Water and heat are covered in the rent. Hydro and internet will cost extra. The apartment has a spacious kitchen (fridge, oven/stove, dishwasher, lots of cabinet space), two bedrooms (both around 180 sqf), one bathroom, a living room and dining space, and a storage room.

Note - because of my food allergies, I cannot have any peanut/nut products in the apartment. If we will be sharing an apartment, I will need you to agree not to bring any peanut or nut products into the apartment at all.

About me - I am a 24 year old grad student starting my Master’s in School Psychology at MSVU. I am from Manitoba, and just moved to Halifax! I am friendly and easy to get along with. If we’ll be living together I’d love to get to know each other - we don’t have to be best friends but I would value a positive and kind relationship!

I am passionate about psychology and mental health and I love to have meaningful conversations with people.

I am mature, clean, quiet and studious. I love to bake and make good food! When I have free time I often do some kind of craft project (embroidery and crocheting are my go-to, but I like to paint a bit too!) I also love to go for walks and spend time outside in nature. I like gardening and caring for plants as well! I value a clean and quiet living space.

I’m okay if you invite friends over from time to time (I will likely do the same), as long as there are no large parties/gatherings. I would be totally open to coming up with some sort of roommate contract to establish healthy boundaries and make sure that both of us are clear on what our expectations are!
