About the room

My partner and I are looking for a clean, friendly, kind and easy-going roommate.

The house is located in the Bonnie Doon area (3 min walk to Bonnie Doon mall, 5 min walk to LRT station, 10 min walk to UofA French campus, 20 min bus ride to UofA main campus). The house has two washrooms (one used by us only, and the other will be yours (see the photo), a small backyard and a summer patio, a small gym set up in the basement, and parking in the back. The bedroom can be furnished or unfurnished.

There is another room available next door which can come as a bundle for an extra cost if you need office space.

We are not in a rush to get a roommate because we want to co-live with a right person for all three of us, meaning that we would like our roommate to help keep our place clean and organized, share some of our interests, worldviews and ways of living. We are both in our early thirties and in school/academia, so we would be more inclined to students or young professionals.

So to summarize, we’re looking for a tidy and clean individual(s), who are open to conversations about how to make the house a safe and comfortable space for everyone, will be willing to cooperate with our dog training, will not smoke (cigarette, vape or anything else) or use cannabis, not have parties or lots of guests over. If that’s you and if you think you might like us, please, contact me (Serhii) for more information. Cheers.

About the roomies

I (Serhii) am an Engineering PhD student at UofA from Ukraine. I love hanging out with people and having a good chat. Interested in fitness and basketball, love eating good food and snowboarding, and all things outdoor.

Tata is a Neuroscience PhD at student at UofA from Georgia (country, not state :). She is more quiet and introverted, but very kind and friendly as well. Interested in yoga and meditation, loves baking and dancing, and all things outdoor. She is a vegetarian, trying to go vegan.

We have a 1-year-old female dog rescued a couple of months ago. She’s mainly good with training now and listens to our commands (if not scared or otherwise distracted), but we’re still working on her behavior. She might be a bit concerned about you entering “her space” at first, but once she gets along with people, she’s super sweet and cuddly.
