Steps from the St. Clair West streetcar line and less than 5 minutes to the very frequent Dufferin bus this 3 Bedroom apartment is on the second floor of a house/triplex in the Corso-Italia area of St. Clair West-Dufferin area. Renovated last year, the house has brand new kitchen and bathroom appliances, pretty decently tall ceilings, hardwood floors, wainscotting down the hallways, wide staircases, a large living room with a sunporch attached to it and access to a small section of the backyard. We also have access to the shared front porch and there is a little garden which we are welcome to do whatever we like with.
The 3 bedrooms are spread out across 2 levels. I currently occupy the attic space with a bedroom and office and storage space on the topmost floor. There are 2 more bedrooms on the main floor which are up for rent. My current roommate uses one as an office for his work from home setup and the other room as his bedroom. There is one bathroom.
I am currently looking for ONE roommate who would be interested in continuing this setup, whether they want to work from home and use the space as an office or for some other purpose. I am however open to having more than one roommate, it depends on our personalities! 😊
We have stairways out the back that lead down to a shared backyard, but we will only have access to a smaller section of the yard for a few months while they do some construction on the garage. Landlords have been good about keeping us updated on all fronts, are fine with pets and are very responsive to any maintenance issues. There is a shared coin laundry in the basement.
There is no off-street parking, but I have a car and use street parking which very affordable.
Internet and hydro are split between us usually landing somewhere between 50 and 100 bucks depending on the month.
I am a 33 year old aspiring writer/filmmaker and all around creative who enjoys painting, horseback riding, travelling when I can, yoga and movie nights. Currently single with no pets, but I would love some pet energy and would love to add a pet to the home. I just bought a bass guitar which I am learning to play (not when anyone else is home 😋) and I work part time at a documentary movie theater. I am finishing school all online and am looking to get into copywriting in the near future. I also enjoy gardening and planted a bunch of stuff in our front garden this year. In terms of a housemate I’m looking for someone similar to me in age and a good balance between social and private. I love to talk and chat and practice open communication so someone who is able to express themselves well and speak about their boundaries is important to me. In terms of dividing the chores, I am generally a go with the flow person, I clean up after myself and have a decent routine with that but I’m by no means a neat freak/controlling about the space. Currently my roommate and I use an app to post common household items and pay each other back through that which works well. I’m not a big drinker or smoker anymore (back in the day tho haha) and I don’t generally party at all. I can be a bit of a night owl so you won’t see me first thing in the morning. I prefer one-on-one interactions or with small groups of people, but with the people I’m interacting with I’m very easygoing and outgoing. I’m a cis-het intersectional feminist, and ideally you are creative, expressive, intersectional and have solid goals too! I want this home to feel safe and calm and cozy.
