Country Club Drive

Come join a shared home! This is a lovely family-friendly Southeast-facing house in Rock City/Departure Bay neighbourhood - convenient to beaches, shopping, and Beban Park sports area. There’s a playground a few minutes walk away, and the house is walkable to both elementary and secondary schools.

We enjoy a shared home where each of us has our own separate spaces and we can also come together for food, social time, and to support each other. Currently we eat together as a group once per week, with each person cooking for the group approx. once per month.

House: The house has a huge wrap-around deck (with a peekaboo ocean view), a private backyard & kids play area, lots of gardening potential (three garden bed begun, more to come!), and a carport. The house has two suites: we all share the living spaces together and have our own bedrooms. In total there are six bedrooms, two kitchens, two bathrooms, and two main entrances.

Who’s in the house: My daughter (3 yrs) and I (early 40s) like biking around Nanaimo, spending time with friends and family, gardening, and purple things. You will be sharing the house with us as well as three others in their 30s/40s- an electrician/artist from Northwest Territories, a grad student/educator from Vietnam. All of us currently live in rooms on the lower floor of the house.

Ideally, we are looking for a family to join us. The rooms available are upstairs. One is a large master bedroom with large window facing north & to trees. The other is smallish (10x9), south-east facing window. Both rooms are quite close to a large (shared) bathroom with bathtub. Also included, one (1) desk and one (1) double bed.

Utilities include electricity, high-speed internet, and a biweekly cleaner for shared space floors and both bathrooms. Consumables (dishsoap, toilet paper, etc) will be shared with roommates.

No smoking of any kind on the property. We would love to share our space with a pet that fits in our space.

Some flexibility on move-in dates for the right person. Must be willing to engage with very cute and friendly toddler :)
