About the room
Room available September 1. Weβre looking for another housemate (no couples) to join the 3-bedroom, 1 bathroom fully-furnished house that we have been renting since February. I am not a landlord, and this is not a business, I just enjoy shared living and we are looking for someone very social.
Available is the large unfurnished room (but comes with a nice wooden wardrobe as there is no closet) for 850$ plus utilities split between 3 people (except water is included) in a beautiful old house with a lot of character in Westboro (Churchill at Scott), with good transit links and a 10 minute walk/1min bike to the Ottawa River. The house is stand alone and has a long driveway with space for 3+ cars, and there is also street parking right in front. The room is huge, 12x8 feet with an equally huge balcony attached to it. We want someone who spends a lot of time hanging in the living room, and who is okay with people walking through their bedroom to get to the balcony (of course not when you are sleeping/want privacy). This room is priced this cheap for what it is due to passage granted to get to the balcony. Honestly, this place is a steal for the right person! Just wait until you hear about who you get to live with haha!
About the roomies
Iβm a 36 year-old female teacher, and the other housemate is a 30 year-old male teacher friend. We are both very social, like to cook, play board games, watch movies, have drinks, be active, etc. We like to host friends for parties sometimes on the weekend and low-key chill sessions during the week. We are looking for someone who will add to our living community and be like family. We are clean, but not obsessive, more so tidy - must keep common areas mostly clutter-free. A cleaning schedule will be made to keep the peace, but general tidying up after yourself is expected. Expectations will be discussed collectively. We are LGBTQ2S+ friendly and like to smoke weed inside but can compromise to keeping it to the closed-off living room area.
