Room available for 1 person in a 2 bedroom basement apartment. Walk score 65, transit score 46. $550, utilities and Wifi included. LGBTQ2S+ friendly. I’m disabled from long covid so ableists need not apply. I also have social anxiety so it’s important for me to find someone I feel safe around. The most important factor is that this remains a safe space. No parties and no smoking in unit or on property. I’m pot friendly, but the landlord not. My dog is reactive to other dogs so if you have a dog we’d have to work really hard to get them to get a long. I’m allergic to cats but I see that all the good people have pets so if we keep the place clean I’ll be okay.
In the pictures there is a pile of stuff that will be gone.
Pro’s:
- Large open kitchen with modern stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher
- Washer and dryer in unit
- Deep bathtub
- Close to the #1 bus route (Krug/Cambridge is the closest bus stop), Frederick Street Mall, a pharmacy, and a short walking trail.
- Private entrance
- Cute dog
Con’s:
- The landlord hates me because she want to choose my roommate and I won’t let her. She has accused me of faking my long covid symptoms and thinks I should move to an “accessible unit”.
- It can take 30 - 50 mins to get to the Uwaterloo or Laurier by bus and 1 hour to Conestoga Doon campus, if you are a student there.
- The room has slightly warped baseboards because they were a bit too long when the landlord installed them.
- There is an uneven portion of the floor in the kitchen with a floor drain under it. The landlord cut up the floor above it and won’t replace it.
- no parking
Please tell me a bit about yourself and I’ll tell you a bit more about myself and we will see if it’s a good fit!
