Evan's room

Hi. We are currently looking for a 3rd person to fill the 3rd room in our house in Leslieville/South Riverdale area. The rent is $1400/month which includes everything including internet and hydro.

PLEASE NOTE that the photos are from when a previous person lived there with their own furniture and as such none of that furniture will remain there.

We have not yet moved in and as such will be moving in on the 19th March. The house is unfurnished and we will be furnishing it as we go for the first month. Ideally you don’t have a lot of furniture as the idea is to get a cohesive style through the house and not just put any furniture anywhere for the sake of filling a space. It is an open plan house with a large kitchen connected to the lounge area. The rooms are all on the first floor (floor above ground floor). There is a large back garden perfect for summer, whether it be sitting outside and reading a book or having a bbq with friends.

The Room: The room is also unfurnished . All the rooms are on the 1st floor (the only additional floor other than ground floor) along with the main bathroom. The room is a private room with a window.

We are 2 young professionals in our 30’s, both originally from South Africa. Evan is a prototype engineer at a toy company, while Shannon is a Director of Customer Success. We work through the week and as such don’t do too much during the week, that includes things at home. We are both fairly active and outdoors people. We both enjoy hosting people whether it be for something like a dinner, bbq, or games night. In these cases it would be great for the most part to do this as a household and get everyone in the house involved, or at least extend the invite.

We are neat and organized and expect the same from a housemate. The kitchen especially is a place where you must clean up after yourself and don’t expect others to do this for you. The shared spaces must be kept in the state you would want to find it.

We would like someone who we can become friends with, grab a drink together at times with or just chat casually at home with. Let’s be honest, home life is so much less awkward when you like the people you live with.
