About the room
Hello! I have a 1450 sq ft two bedroom two bathroom apartment. Rent includes water, heating/AC, and 2 parking spots (one for you to use); electricity and internet are extra but add to about $50/month/person. The shared living spaces are furnished with couches/chairs, a dining table and chairs, and some book shelves, though it is a large space and can accommodate additional furniture if you have it - we can coordinate. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, oven and stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and kettle. There are pots, pans, dishes and utensils which I am happy to share so long as they are used and cleaned responsibly. There is also a sunroom, which could be used as your own personal space (e.g. as an office). I’ll be adding more photos for the bedroom in the next few days
Your space: the second bedroom would be your new space, it is unfurnished and includes a closet. You would also have your own private bathroom with a bathtub. In the past my previous roommate had used the sunroom as a personal office, which I am happy to respect for any new roommate hoping for additional private space.
The building is pet friendly and includes the following amenities:
- indoor swimming pool
- men’s and women’s separate gyms, hot tubs and saunas
- golf simulator
- billiards room
- ping pong room
- squash court
- tennis court
- shared laundry room
The area is right at Highway 427 and 401, with a transit stop only a few minutes walk down the road, making it a great place for anyone who commutes by transit or car. Kipling subway station is about a 15 minute bus away.
About the roomies
I am the only other tenant in this apartment. I’m a 24 year old (female) young professional working as a mechanical engineer at a Canadian aerospace company. I work in office 3 days a week and from home (in my bedroom) 2 days a week. I have a boyfriend and he stays over every now and then - though I will let you know beforehand :) I value open communication, cleanliness, being friendly but also respecting each other’s privacy and space. In my free time I enjoy most things outdoors, from hiking and skiing to spike-ball. I’m more of an introvert and love games nights with my friends, reading, playing records (I love oldies), baking/cooking, and watching netflix. I’m hoping to find a roommate with a similar vibe and would be happy to make a new friend - we don’t have to be besties but would enjoy hanging out together when we’re home. Let me know if that sounds like you!
