Looking for a clean, tidy, working female to sublet my room from June 1st to October 31st, with the possibility of extending after this. I’ll be moving out west for the summer and will not be back until at least November, however I may decide to stay longer.

Apartment is located on Dovercourt and Hallam, above a very yummy bakery. You get the larger room in the apartment featuring a large closet with more than enough storage. The bedroom window gets tons of natural light throughout the day and you’ll find you’ll rarely have to turn your bedroom light on during the day. Room will remain fully furnished, so the bed, dresser, and nightstand will stay in the room for the duration of the sublet.

Please do note that since the apartment is located above the bakery it does tend to get fairly warm in here, which is great in the winter since you’ll almost never need to turn the base heaters on, but if you are someone who is naturally warmer already, this might not be the place for you. In the summer, the landlord has provided an A/C unit for each of the rooms. It attaches to the window in your bedroom, as you can see in the attached photos.

The 161 bus to Ossington Station runs on Dovercourt and the bus stop is right across the street from the apartment. It is about a 10 minute walk to Ossington Station.

As previously stated, the apartment is located above a Portuguese bakery with many delicious pastries and bread. The apartment is accessible by stairs only. Across the street are 2 fresh markets/convenience stores, another bakery, an Italian restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a Laundromat, and a Dry Cleaners. You’re about a 10 minute walk to Bloor St. where you’ll find many more shops, restaurants, a library, a theatre, and much more.

Smoking of any kind is not permitted in the apartment. Animals of any kind are not permitted in the apartment. Parking is available via street permit parking only.

Rent is $2100/month for the entire apartment, this is $1050 each. Internet is $67.80/month divided between the two of you ($33.90/month). Hydro is not included in rent and you will be paying for electricity and heat, divided between the two of you.

Your roommate will be Maria. She is a flight attendant in her early 20’s who commutes from Edmonton and is only at the apartment for about 2 weeks every month. This apartment is a peaceful place for her to come back to when she is not working, so as such, we try to keep a quite, peaceful environment. This means no loud parties. We also value a clean, tidy household, and you’ll be expected to clean up after yourself and take initiative on keeping the apartment a clean space. Maria also loves to clean and will do her share when she is there, but as she does not live here full-time, we do ask that you are a responsible individual who can keep the space clean. Maria is very friendly and extroverted and can get along with anyone, you will have lots of fun living with her!
