Pet-friendly house share offered for 2-3 months from June 17 to sometime-in-September (exact dates flexible) in beautiful, large townhouse that backs onto a ravine and is surrounded by gorgeous off-leash green-space on three sides; location: T5T 1T1. The rent indicated is just because I was required to enter a rent. You will essentially be a live-in house sitter for this period in return for living here for free, and will be looking after dog, tortoises, and plants for the periods I’m gone. This will include almost 4 weeks from July 17 to August 11 where you will have to be home. Around 2/3 of the time you’ll have the house to yourself (except for my dog, a 52 lb, bouncy, male goldendoodle). For around 3 weeks you’ll be sharing it with me (professional academic) and the dog, and for around 10 days you will be sharing the house both with me and with my two teenagers and one more dog, and during this time you will also be sharing the bathroom and should expect a certain amount of chaos. Your bedroom is comfortable but small - queen size bed, either desk or wardrobe and balcony. The room has been redecorated slightly since the picture was taken but it does show the size. You also have access to the living room, kitchen and, for half of the time, a giant loft with television corner and office space. Except for the 10 days where my kids are here, you would have your own bathroom.

If you are interested in this house share, please send me a short introduction to yourself – what you’re doing with your life right now, interests, etc. Whatever you feel is relevant for getting some sense of who you are as a person. Since we’ll be sharing living space for part of the time it’s important that we can get along, so I’ll expect you to come by with your dog (if you have one that is) so that we can chat and get to know each other before making any final decisions – obviously, this selection process goes both ways. I’ll also ask for references.

Since we will at times be quite a few people and pets in the house, I would prefer a single person. My female-at-birth teens are currently exploring their gender identity, so you must be 100% respectful of the LGBTQ+ community - members of the community very welcome. My dog is super social and would love to have a friend, so it’s great if you have a calm, well-behaved dog, but it’s not a requirement. Single dog-less people are also great. I have a preference for a female or non-gender conforming house mate, but would also be open to the right type of male (i.e. someone whom I feel comfortable about being alone in a house with my two female-at-birth kids).
