Des's room

I’m lucky to have got my foot in the door of a large, sunny 2BDRM near Fort and Cook and I’m looking for a kind, open minded and mature person to share it with me (37yo she/her) and two human centered cats. Cat lovers only, long term preferred.

The space: on Fort st, just out of downtown, large 2BDR suite with hardwood floors and lots of natural light, galley kitchen, one bath, attached art studio, washer and dryer, some outdoor/garden space allotted. I’ve redecorated and will post updated photos when I’m back from visiting my family. The landlord has also offered to pay for paint if we want to change up the walls. There is a parking spot that will be shared 50/50 between occupants The price: 850 for the larger bedroom and 750 for the smaller bedroom; deposit is half of rent. The rooms are unfurnished with the exception of a 6 drawer dresser in the large room. The smaller room is pretty full with a queen side bed, but you could squeeze in a small desk. The large bedroom has room for a queen, the dresser and either your entire yoga routine or a big corner desk :) The kitchen is very small with shared dishes and open cupboards. Due to food allergies gluten needs to be carefully handled and some nuts need to be treated with extreme caution (pinenuts, pistachios and cashews). Non-smoker preferred.

I’m a friendly, playful human who’s still into dinosaurs & unicorns. I spend as much time as I can painting with oils; stay regulated with yoga, running & vegetables; and read voraciously. I am also into D&D5e, conscious self love and breath as a meditative tool. Sharing space to me is a cooperative act. That means I believe very much in working together to create a space that works well for both parties. Sure I’ve got stuffed arranged a certain way but I’m not married to it because ideally this is a co-created HOME, not just someone living in my space. I am looking for people who are good communicators, who are accountable for their actions and who seek to co-create a relaxing, LGBTQ+ friendly space. Also, clearly, for people who LOVE cats. I would be delighted to have someone who is interested in a long term roomie situation.
