Hi everyone. I have a second bedroom available in a 2 bedroom apartment in James Bay. I currently rent the apartment through Devon Properties and am looking for someone else to come onto the tenancy agreement with me to replace my former roommate (my ex partner). This would be a month to month lease and on the same terms that I’m on with Devon. A few facts about the apartment:

• The bedroom and apartment comes fully furnished.
• The bathroom, living room and kitchen would all be shared with me.
• Parking is available and payable to Devon for renting a spot.
• I pay Shaw for unlimited internet and a fairly comprehensive cable package. I would ideally ask that you pay me $75 a month toward the overall cost ($200).
• Hydro is not included but is never more than $70 total every two months, so maximum $35 when we need the heating on etc. All other bills are included. This would also be payable to me due to the hydro being in my name.
• This is a pet friendly building and I currently don’t have any of my own. I do have an allergy to cats so would ask for dogs only. Ideally hypoallergenic and no more than two medium sized dogs who are well behaved. If you don’t come with a pet then I may consider getting myself a dog in the near future.
• There’s a laundry room in the building. $2.50 per use for a washer or drier.

The location is very close to Dallas Road and the ocean, Thrifty’s and James Bay Square, and walking distance from down town Victoria (about 20 minutes).

Hi there. I’m a 35 year old male (he/him) originally from the UK and have lived in Victoria for almost three years. I work from home full time, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm. I normally like to be up at between 6:30 and 7 and go to bed around 11 most week nights.

There’s room for a second person to work from home if needed and I’m open to discussing what works best for both of us.

I do like to cook most evenings but also like to eat out now and then. I also like to exercise as much as I can.

I’m a friendly and open person, fully respectable of other people’s boundaries and privacy. I like to keep the apartment clean and clutter free. I’m looking for a roommate but also someone to hang out with now and then, watch shows, eat out etc. I would be happy to have people over but nothing crazy and like to be respectful of the neighbors. No smokers/drugs/heavy drinking.
