This brand new and big private bed and bath in a modern condo building would be perfect for an established young professional working remotely or in downtown Brampton. Your rent is all inclusive – all utilities and internet!

This building is in the middle of downtown Brampton, and it’s a two-minute walk to the Brampton GO station, which means it’s super easy to hop on a train or a bus and travel through the GTA. It’s also within walking distance to Algoma University as well as a bunch of restaurants and cafes.

Your unfurnished bedroom comes with floor to ceiling windows, a closet, and you also have a private four-piece (toilet, tub, shower, sink) washroom – that’s right, no sharing required. The building has just been built with top-of-the-line amenities and finishes (no one’s lived in this unit before). The unit includes:

  • In-suite washer and dryer
  • Our own hot water tank (so we don’t have to worry about running out of hot water)
  • Nine-foot ceilings
  • Suite-controlled heating and cooling all year round (this means we don’t have to wait for heating to switch to cooling at a specific point in the year; we can heat or cool during any time of the year, all controlled in our unit)
  • An oversized balcony with power outlets
  • Full-sized stainless steel appliances as well as quartz countertops and glass tile backsplash in the kitchen

  • 2 bed, 2 bath, with a massive kitchen, living room, and dining area
  • Huge private balcony
  • On 26th floor (the building has 27 floors in total)
  • 1175 square feet – this is the biggest 2-bedroom unit in the building!

Sounds awesome, right?! Here’s what I’m looking for from a roommate:

  • Friendly – you have a great attitude and are respectful! If you move in with me, I’d love for us to become friends and occasionally spend time with each other in the unit. At the very least, I don’t want us to be strangers.
  • Responsible – you’ll pay your rent on time, and you’ll respect my things and space (and I’ll respect yours, of course).
  • Quiet – I’ve never been one for parties or big groups of people, and I value my sleep. I also work a full-time job from home. If you like regularly having people over, we won’t get along. That being said, I don’t mind you having friends over every now and then! Totally okay with me, so long as we give each other a heads up. Just within reason, and not too many at one time.
  • Okay with pets – I have an adorable older cat named Popeye (he has one eye :P). He doesn’t have the energy of a younger cat and doesn’t make as much of a mess, but he’s still very affectionate, chatty, and sweet. I do have an allergy to cats, but I don’t react to him too often, since he’s a shorthair cat.
  • Clean – what you do in your room is up to you (so long as you don’t damage the room), but please keep the common areas clean. Do your dishes, pick up after yourself, and don’t leave your clothes sitting in the laundry machines for several hours.
  • Drugs and smoking – absolutely no drug use or smoking tolerated in the unit or on the balcony.
  • Drinking – while I don’t drink, I don’t mind if you enjoy having a drink every now and then in the apartment, fine with me. But our home isn’t a place for you to get drunk or wasted.

If you’ve read this far, I appreciate it! A 12-month lease is preferred. As stated previously, the $1850 monthly rent includes all utilities, tenant’s insurance, and internet, and you have open access to the generous building amenities. To apply, you’ll need to provide your credit score, references from your last few years of tenancy (at least two years, if you have it, the more, the better), and proof of employment. Once your application is approved, the last month’s rent will be needed as a deposit, and your first month’s rent will be needed by the first day of your tenancy.
