About the room

this is my short term listing. please read the entire listing. what is on offer is an october solo occupancy at greatly reduced rent, explained further below. nothing more. after that, i will rent it out, but will not and cannot commit to making the extensive reference and credit checks for that. This is a quick and cheap short term rental. You will have right of first refusal for longer term. But if you want to move in with a guarantee you can stay, please do not reply at this time.

Long-term plan is to rent the two bedroom townhouse to two responsible, mature, non-smoking, non-cannibis consuming middle aged men. Short term I hope to find a guy with that profile, but will consider younger or older, or female. I cannot rent to smokers. I cannot rent to people who are not able to show covid vaccine cards.

I am not looking for someone to move in and come home after work to do renos on my place !!! We will agree on times that you will be sober and rested and help me for an agreed upon amount of time – 30 minutes often, maybe 2 hours now and then. The rest of the time, hands-off is the rule. As in hands off. You are passing through, not hired on as the projecgt manager. Just use the bedroom and the bathroom and if your shoes are off and your bum is clean, the living room and dining room. If you realize you want to stay, make your wishes known and we can start that process.

This is not a dump. Its Grandma’s house. Take a really, really hard look at the pictures. There are no stainless appliances. There is no TV taking up an entire wall. There is no IKEA furniture. There will not be any SS, giant TV or IKEA in any future that involves me.

For october the rent will be $300 to $700 according to how useful you might be to my move out and repair efforts. elec or plumbing trades very much welcome and the low end rent would be for skills, but see above the same agreement to work X amount of time, with me present, applies. You’ll just be, for example, re-plumbing the double sink I’m switching out for the single. . If your skills are carrying boxes down steps or holding the other end of a shelf while I install it, or help me move something heavy – we will be looking at the higher end of the rent range. I will also be a little more hesitant to even take the time to go over and show it to someone who can’t tell a Phillips from a Robertsons because right now the counters are pulled out for the sink install.
