Important points:

• 12 month minimum lease (this is a building requirement, so non-negotiable)
• Only 1 shared bathroom in the apartment
• 2 bedroom apartment (I will be the only other person in the apartment)
• No couples and no pets

You would have the master bedroom, which includes: queen bed; walk-in closet; small desk with chair; laundry; and cable TV.

The shared areas are the living room, kitchen, bathroom and balcony (which is accessible directly from both the living room and master bedroom). The balcony is east facing.

There are 3 connected buildings, and the amenities for these condos are shared, and include: swimming pool, hot tub, gym, cyber lounge, billiards room & theatre room. There is also a party room and guest suites for rent.

The condo is located in Liberty Village, to the west of downtown Toronto, which is generally quite a young area (many people in their 20s and 30s), and has a number of restaurants/bars and a supermarket among other local conveniences.

The ideal applicant would be:

• Working professional. Although working from home 1 or 2 days a week shouldn’t be a problem, the room isn’t really designed for 100% remote work.
• Someone who has a similar schedule to me (go to bed 10ish, get up 6ish).
• Respectful of cleanliness and noise.

The rent would cover:

• Maintenance fees and property taxes
• Cable TV + a streaming channel of your choice
• Hydro
• Internet
• Underground parking space

I would be the only roommate. Few things about me:

• 33 year-old male
• British-Canadian dual citizen who’s lived in Canada for the past 6 years
• Work 100% from home
• In my spare time I enjoy going to watch some of the local sports teams; go out on average two evenings a week with friends; and go for short walks/cycles.
• Aside from that I’m usually just relaxing at home. Typically I keep myself to myself, but happy to make myself more available for those who prefer company.
• Very rarely have friends round, and would only do so with your express permission.
• My pet peeves are door banging and extremely loud music.
