About the room

Please read in full, and if interested, provide some info to get to know you (i.e. age, job title, a bit about what you’re like as a roomate.)

The basement has two bedrooms with it’s own kitchen, bathroom and small living room which are shared. The basement has it’s own entrance through the back. There is a laundry room upstairs that’s shared with everyone in the house.

Utilities (gas, hydro and internet) are included in the rent. In the winters, the basement has the best heating in the house and is always cozy warm, and in the summers it stays nice and cool which is great for getting through the heat waves of BC.

The house also has a yard which the tennants are responsible for maintaining. We enjoy gardening and we are looking for someone who is proactive and willing to help out.

There is free parking space, but the driveway is tight to turn around, so someone without a vehicle is preffered. We do live nearby a bus stop with a 5 min ride down to Lougheed Skytrain station.

No pets, sorry.

About the roomies

I’m Ana (26F), I’ve been living here for almost 2 years with my friend who has recently moved rooms to be upstairs with her partner. My friend says I’m easy going, patient, quiet, but sociable.

I often stay at work for long varying hours during the week. I tend to be up late at night but try to stay quiet. When I’m home, I like to spend it recharging alone, or if it’s the weekend you’ll find me either cleaning, baking, gardening or all three at once. I enjoy playing boardgames, reading, and going on hikes with friends.

I’m down to get to know each other. We don’t need to be best friends, but I’m open to occasionally sharing a meal together. I also want to welcome direct communication, and I think it’s important that whoever I live with feels comfortable discussing shared responsibilities.

I prefer to take at least one day during the weekend to focus on house chores and prepare meals for the week. I want to keep the common living spaces clean and decluttered, so I do my dishes regularly unless I’m up late at night decorating a cake, but I don’t like to let things pile up. I like having my home as a place where I can invite people over, but not a place that’s constantly full of people.

The other two roomates (24F and 30M) living upstairs are a couple who both work day jobs and go to bed fairly early so we have quiet hours during the week. On weekends you’ll often find us all hangning out together for games or movie night.
