About the room
1 large bedroom available in a 6 bedroom house for $778.75 per month beginning January 1st 2024.
Lease term is negotiable, the soonest start date is January 1, 2024, and the maximum end date is April 30, 2025. It is technically a sublease, so you can stay for any period of time but minimum 4 months.
It is directly on the route of busses 1 and 2, so you have immediate access to the University and Stone Road Mall, and the 99 is about a 10 minute walk away but you can also take the 2 bus to get there.
It is a very large partially furnished bedroom with a crawl space in the closet that I have repurposed as a small living/storage room. It is on itβs own floor of the house with a large landing that can accomodate more furniture if you want. There is a large window in the center of the room with two adjacent smaller windows. There is no smoking indoors but you can smoke outside on the deck or on the front porch.
You would share a bathroom with a large counter, mirror, shower/tub combo, and a window. No pets will be living in the house but you are welcome to bring one.
It is a mixed men/women/nonbinary house. Must be queer friendly as everyone in the house in queer. It is a relatively social house and everyone is friends so you would feel welcomed. There is also charming wallpaper in some parts of the house.
Rent increases by approx 2.5% every May 1st. From January-April 2024 it will be $778.75, and from May 2024-April 2025 it will be $798.22, so it is very affordable especially for what you are getting.
About the roomies
There are 5 other people living in the house. 3 on the top floor, 2 in the basement. 2 men, 1 woman, 2 nonbinary people. All are students at the University of Guelph. Ages between 22 and 20. Generally quiet, clean, and studious. They do enjoy going out sometimes, which is nice if you enjoy to socialize, but the house itself is relatively quiet. Chores are divided evenly among everyone, with a few exceptions.
