About the room
About the room: The home is quirky, as may be evidenced by the photos, thus your cozy bedroom, tucked under the eaves is spacious and supports the potential for different activity ‘zones’ such as TV watching or reading, homework or eating, art/painting, or yoga, and of course sleeping. The windows provide a birds-eye view of the surrounding area with huge old growth cedar, spruce, birch, cotton woods plus apple, plum, and cherry trees - magnificent in the spring. Bathroom with a shower - small but adequate and shared with one other.
About the house This 4 level vintage farm house is located on 2 acres in Langley Township surrounded by tall trees, mature plantings and has a beautiful pond. There is a horse, a sheep and a gentle senior dog that share the property with an adult female. The kitchen is totally updated including a large island with granite counter top, two pantry cupboards and plenty of storage. There is a kitchen table as well as a dining room for eating meals. The kitchen leads out to a large back porch that has a table and chairs that looks over a small stable and a garage into a pasture and the wooded area beyond.
The ground level contains a 1/2 bathroom and beyond this bathroom there is a large carpeted common room with gas fireplace and comfortable chairs in which one can lounge. This room has enough space for yoga and/or stretching with natural light from the glass doors that open onto a patio. In the summer this patio has the best view and scent of a large sweeping swag of wisteria vine and flowers with the peaceful sound of the pond in the background. The beautiful natural setting is by no means ‘manicured’ rather is free and a wonderfully wild.
The main level has a small living-room where you will usually find Jennifer watching TV with senior dog, Cinder. Cinder has a large bed in which she rests when she is not looking out the front window or playing with or ripping the stuffing from her toys.
