Audrey's room

Hello hello 🙂 My fantastic roommate is leaving me (but it’s for a good cause), so I’m looking for someone (no couple, sorry) to take over her room on March 1st! The apartment is located around the corner from Hastings/Commercial Drive on a quiet street (check the localization please), but it is a 10-minute walk from the middle of Commercial. Here is everything you need to know:

• We are on the second floor (view from the street, even if the elevator says 4th)
• It is a 2 bdr with a large living room, kitchen and a shared bathroom
• We also have a lovely balcony 🙂
• 10 min from the Skytrain if you ride bus #20
• Close to Downtown with several buses, including the R5
• The apartment is not pet-friendly (sorry)
• Laundry room in the building
• Plenty of street parking or a parking space in the garage for $100 more per month. “Garage” for bicycles too.
• Rent $1294 for the room with utilities (that we obviously share)
• A $587.5 deposit will be requested to replace my roommate’s share (it was half the rent; it just increases a little from March, darn)
• The room remains furnished, but my roommate will ask $100/$150 for the bed and furniture (or she will sell them if you don’t need them).
• The rest of the apartment is furnished.
• No, the Christmas tree doesn’t stay all year round! So… when are you moving to East Van?

About me: my name is Audrey, I’m 32 (yes, brutal), I have lived in Vancouver for almost two years and work in Marketing. I’m looking for someone around my age who works (or will work; newcomers are welcome, but it might be a little more complicated to get your application accepted by the agency), so no students, sorry. An important point is that I like to keep the apartment clean and tidy. And finally, my former roommates will confirm that I am super chill.
