We are looking for someone to join our community! This single bedroom is available May 1. It can be furnished with a bed or left unfurnished.

This shared accommodation is in Pacific Gardens Cohousing, a community on over 4 acres with access to:

• communal gardens • playground and trampoline • conversation and study lounges • large outdoor covered patios • communal kitchen with 2 stoves, 2 fridges, and shared baking resources, • art room • gym • office with communal computers and a printer • music room with piano and sound system • children’s playroom • handyperson workshop • electric modo onsite for those who wish to join the carshare • adjoining a public parkland

The facilities are incorporated into a building centered around ‘the atrium,’ which is a large skylighted hall connecting all units. This is more than just a bedroom rental - when you live in cohousing, there are many social benefits.

In addition to the benefits of communal space, some community activities you can participate in include:

• potlucks twice weekly in the dining hall, • morning coffee social hour twice a week, • boardgame night once a week • Bridge club once a week • a variety of children’s events throughout the year • cycling and camping outings • other community events sometimes occur, such as concerts held in the atrium.

The bedroom is available for rent starting May 1st on our lower level. It’s a quiet room on a level with only one other bedroom. A full bathroom is shared between the two adults downstairs. The children and adult upstairs have their own bathroom. The kitchen and living spaces are also on the floor above. The cost is $850 including all utilities.

About Us: Our home consists of 2 adults, 2 children under 12, and a cat. We are musicians, avid bakers, artists, and community advocates. I’m a progressive, affirming Christian and member of the queer community. Our household is smoke free. The larger community is intergenerational, ranging from toddlers to seniors.

The Right Fit: I’m looking for a respectful, community minded person who is comfortable with children, who is looking for community and connection, and who is ideally familiar with compassionate communication (nonviolent communication). I’m also open to short and long term rental options.
