West 13th Avenue

I’m looking for a roommate for Apr.1. The available room is in an upper level suite in a character house in Kits. The room itself is about 15x10 and has private balcony access. Laundry is onsite and is shared with the suite below us, street parking is available, the 14, 16, 9 and 99 all have bus stops within a few mins walk down Arbutus. Kits beach is a 15-20 min walk away, there’s a couple grocery stores and a London Drugs all within walking distance (5-7mins at most).
During the spring/summer, the Kits Farmers market is a 5 block walk away! bIt’s a quiet street filled with trees and a great area to live in. Preferably looking for someone who will be here for 6 months (at the very least) to a year.

The deets: -Rent is $768.50/month (utilities included) plus internet, which is $30/month (so $798.50/month)and damage deposit ($384.25) -the room for rent is technically the living room (it has its’ own door and a closet) so the only hanging out area in the apartment is the kitchen -I have a cat, her name is Chloe. Unfortunately she does get along with other cats so this is a one-cat only household -smoking is okay outside ONLY, no smoking of anything in the suite -no couples pls. The apartment is not big enough for 3 people -please don’t judge the space by the pictures. Photography is not a talent I have

The house itself is managed by a property management company and so they process the applications for tenancy. Everyone who lives in the suite needs to be on the lease so they check work references, previous landlord references and character references. They also stipulate that each individual who lives in the apartment must have their own renters insurance before move-in. It’s a pain, I know, but it’s what they do. They’re actually pretty great and really keep on top of taking care of any repairs/issues that we notify them about and generally keep out of our hair.
