Ember

Howdy friendly friends, I’m Ember (25/Non-Binary AMAB) I’m currently working as a Contractor (Metal Fabricator/Welder) in the food industry and classed as an essential worker, as a result I need to live with people who are cognizant of the safety of those in the house and willing to take measures to protect everyone we would live with. Scheduled for my first shot monday.

I’m looking to live with other queer people as I’m still experimenting with my personal and sexual identity and need a safe place to do so. I currently present as a hyper masc dude but please don’t judge a book by its cover 😅

Due to my personality and a 10c difference in temperature I work afternoons ~2-10pm; I also tend to be a night person (~3am bedtime). Because of an incredibly harsh work environment I prefer a calmer home environment for myself, I don’t need quiet but I can be overwhelmed with things like frequent parties/large gatherings (not against it, just not my scene). I have no issues with freinds and frequent overnight guests, and will probably have people over ~2/wk when things get more relaxed.

I’m a creative maker type, I enjoy working on my various personal projects, board games and puzzles, and I’m trying to get into houseplants/bonsai and making my own clothes. I don’t drink regularly but do smoke pot to manage chronic pain and anxiety. I’m also an sustainability motivated pescatarian.

I’m an inherently social person enjoying communal meals and shared experiences; ideally I’d like to live with peoples who feel the same.

I’m looking for a place with good walkability, natural light, and would love space to work on my car/truck. I’d like to spend about $850 on a place but I’m willing to spend a bit more for the right place. I have two vehicles my full sized truck (daily) and a non running project car (full sized coupe), I need some form of parking for the truck and would appreciate a place to keep the car but I do realize it will likely end up being stored elsewhere.

I’m looking for a long term (18-24+ months) place to settle into and make home. I would like a ‘charming/cozy’ place and I’m not against finding people to team up and rent a place or be an addition to a home. I work at Mississauga road/401 and would like to have a sub 30min commute. My only requirements are decent natural light and a building in good repair (As a professional builder I am able to do my own repairs, maintenance, and improvements). Im very partial to the Lakeshore and mimico.
