My name is Matteo Merkel I am 20 years old and an officer (2nd lieutenant) in the German Navy and am currently studying business administration at a military university in Hamburg. As part of this study program, I will be studying abroad at VIU next semester. Although I “only” study, I already get a good salary. I pay the rent by myself. If desired, my parents could additionally vouch for me. In my free time I like to read (fantasy, history, politics, economics), meet friends, travel and go hiking. I like to be in the nature. I also do a lot of sports. I ride road bike, go jogging and climbing. I am rather a quiet person, but you can have a good conversation with me. I am also quite clean and tidy.
