I am searching for a studio apartment or, alternatively, a private room with an ensuite bath and shared kitchen privileges. In either case, I want a guarantee of tenancy for 12 months or more.

My budget: $1,000 per month. My income is from the usual retirement sources: OAS/CPP/RIF.

I have lived in Port Hope since 1984 (38 years) during which time I have owned and lived in 2 houses and also rented and lived in 2 apartments.

My wife and I separated years ago; my 2 children are themselves adults and living independently.

I gave up my car 6 years ago, though I still drive vehicles owned by friends. I am in excellent health, walking and riding my bicycle for groceries.
