Good Afternoon! A little about me … I am a 65 year-old fellow with two grown and gone kids, who was born and raised here in West Van and went to Sentinel Secondary School. I ran a successful business in West Van for sixteen years - The Dog’s Ear T-shirt & Embroidery Boutique - and have been employed for the past seven years on the North Shore as a Caregiver for seniors. I am tidy, quiet, a non-smoker and drinker, and truly comfortable with dogs, cats, and people of all ages and backgrounds - a good thing because being a Caregiver requires someone with more than the average amount of patience, empathy and compassion. And we Caregivers are subject to a Criminal Record Check yearly. Currently, I am a Live-In Caregiver for a 93 year-old Senior/family friend here at Park Royal Towers. It has been an ideal arrangement for both of us but alas, is coming to an end due to her changing and increasing needs that I am not able to fulfill adequately.
My reputation in the community at large and as a Caregiver is excellent. Did I mention that I am mechanically-inclined so handy to have around the house? Ideally, I would be permitted to move in on or around the beginning of the month but if an ideal situation came available with a different start date then I would certainly be willing to consider that instead.
