I am looking for a billet homestay arrangement for my son, Seth Wright who is 14 years old. We believe that experiencing a homestay will provide him with a safe and supportive environment while he participates in the Okanagan Hockey Academy this year. His participation is Monday-Friday from 8:30-4pm with additional weekends away. Transportation arrangements for away travel is under the academy’s responsibilities.

About My Son:

• home town: Smithers BC -passionate about hockey and driven in this career path -Entrepreneural spirit, creative problem solver, independent and mature, resilient.
• Neurodiverse and in need of a family open to hearing what that uniquely means for him.

What We Are Looking For:

• We seek a welcoming and caring host family or mature adult individual.
• A private bedroom for my son.
• Access to common/shared areas such as the kitchen and living room, bathroom.
• Proximity to West Bank Kelwona (specifically Stevens road; OK HC academy, or close access to public transportation routes. Ability to support some transportation is ideal. Or a location that he is able to take his e scooter or a bus to stevens road.
• Preferably a shared dinner meal is included in the negotiated compensation, but we can discuss this further.

Duration: We are looking for a billet homestay for the duration of this academic school year, ending June 2024, starting from as soon as possible.
